PULSAR Radio x Europarl Radio
PULSAR Radio, the student-driven station of the University of the Peloponnese, proudly collaborates with Europarl Radio, the multilingual radio service of the European Parliament.
Europarl Radio produces podcasts, daily news bulletins, and audio features in all 24 official EU languages (plus Ukrainian), making the work of the European Parliament accessible to citizens across Europe. The service is part of the Parliament’s “language of citizens” policy, which promotes the use of clear and simple language and offers podcasts, audio summaries, subtitled videos, and voiceovers to bring EU content closer to the public
Through this collaboration, PULSAR Radio brings Europarl Radio content to its Greek-speaking audience, ensuring that our students and local community can follow European debates, legislative initiatives, and citizen stories directly from the source. Content includes:
- Daily two-minute news bulletins
- Reviews of plenary sessions
- Podcasts on EU democracy, rights, and awards (e.g. the Sakharov Prize, the LUX Audience Award)
- Explainers of EU terminology and policies
- Historical stories and personal testimonies from across Europe
While the broadcasts are in Greek, this page provides English descriptions for our international partners and friends, including the EUNICE Broadcast Student Club and Erasmus students, who support our activities and outreach.
Why this collaboration matters
- It connects local student media with European institutions.
- It helps raise awareness of how the EU shapes everyday life, from human rights and democracy to climate policy and technology.
- It gives students the chance to participate in real broadcasting that bridges the local and European level.
By partnering with Europarl Radio, PULSAR Radio strengthens its role as a hub for youth voices, academic creativity, and European dialogue.
